179 <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler commented that the Growth Management issue with <br />this project is very difficult on all parties involved. He could <br />not support extending the deadline for the Growth Management <br />Ordinance for this project. It seemed that if these difficulties <br />with Growth Management were going to continue, then perhaps there <br />should be a major change to the process. <br /> <br /> It was agreed by Council to take no action on the EIR until <br />the project came back for approval. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Tarver, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that <br />Resolution No. 92-71 be adopted, denying the appeal of a denial of <br />1) a General PlanAmendment to change the Land Use Designation from <br />General and Limited Industrial to Medium Density Residential; and <br />2) Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval <br />for a 52-unit, single-family detached residential project, on an <br />18.6 acre site located at the southeast corner of the Sunol <br />Boulevard intersection with Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 92-72 be adopted, adopting a resolution of intent to <br />amend the General Plan to change the land use designation for this <br />property to low density residential, to be considered in June. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br />staff and the Planning Commission continue to work with the <br />neighbors and the developer on a plan similar to the 37-unit <br />project proposal and to review further the Growth Management <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />4/7/92 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
