MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver suggested that Council consider setting a special <br /> meeting on March 31, 1992 in order to accommodate a few the public <br /> hearings scheduled for the April 7, 1992 City Council meeting. Me <br /> felt that because of the nature of these hearings they may take a <br /> long time to discuss. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer agreed. He asked if a few of the public hearings <br /> could be continued to the April 21st City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush answered no if the goal was to meet the growth <br /> management ordinance. He explained that the ordinance required <br /> these matters to be approved by the first week in April. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr suggested adding a few of the public hearings to the <br /> workshop meeting on April 1, 1992. <br /> <br /> Council and staff agreed to move two or three public hearings <br /> from the April 7, 1992 meeting to the April 1st workshop. <br /> <br /> Item 8a <br /> Conqestion Manaqement AqencV - Votinq Structure <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer explained the history of the Alameda County <br /> Congestion Management Agency. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr asked if there was consideration of including all <br /> four of the transit agencies as voting members. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer replied that the transit agencies do not pay dues <br /> and votes are based on population. <br /> <br /> 3/17/92 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
