117 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Tarver, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, to <br />reduce the number of trees in the street; trees to be located at <br />mid-block, bulb-out curbs and on sidewalks. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Scribner, and Vice Mayor <br />NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Mayor Mercer and Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> Council discussed accommodating the Foothill High School Band <br />Competition Parade. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner explained that the Downtown Task Force did not <br />consider the width of the street because the Band offered to use <br />Peters Avenue. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that the <br />street layout remain substantially as it now exists with the wider <br />sidewalks only for the block between St. Mary Street and Division <br />Street. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, and Vice Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: Councilmember Scribner <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Mayor Mercer and Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that <br />staff be encouraged to use wooden sidewalks wherever feasible and <br />workable. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Scribner, and Vice Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Mayor Mercer and Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift concluded that staff would develop several designs <br />-based on the ultimate cost within the next several months. <br /> <br />17.
