The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler ABSTAIN: None Item 8b ~ppointment of a Reqular Member of the Planninq Commission (SR92:258) It was moved by Mr. Tarver, and seconded byMs. Scribner, that Resolution No. 92-128 be adopted, appointing Robert Wright as a regular member of the Planning Commission to fill the unexpired term of Ron Horan, the term to expire 05/05/94. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler ABSTAIN: None Item 8c Report on Concept of Economic Development Committee (SR92:257) Ms. Mohr stated that this was an exciting idea and asked if there had been any response from interested people in the community. Mayor Mercer stated that he had taken no action until Council agreed to do so. He explained the process that would be taken after Council's approval. He had met with Ms. Acosta regarding this Committee and had someone chosen who he thought would be a good chairperson, but he had not yet asked this person to participate. He indicated that those individuals listed in Exhibit i of the staff report would be asked to participate in this process. He believed that it would take approximately 3-4 months to go through the process and most of time would be spent by staff. Ms. Mohr asked what the expected duration of the Committee was. 6/16/92 16
