He explained that <br /> there are major General Plan amendments in the Tri-Valley area that <br /> will have substantial impacts on transportation. Some of the <br /> Interchanges will not work if all of the amendments happen. Many <br /> of the streets north of Pleasanton do not work well. The goal is <br /> to develop a transportation plan that would serve the land uses. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, to <br /> support the staff recommendations to consider land use entitlements <br /> in the future. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver supported the first four recommendations made by <br />staff. He definitely did not support Recommendation 8. <br />Recommendations 5, 6, 7 were vague. He referred to the land use <br />entitlements and stated that there would be regional considerations <br />involved. He would be supportive of agreeing to the improvements <br />necessary at all levels to take care of the traffic that those <br />entitlements are going to generate. Three of the five agencies are <br />proceeding at tremendous speed to grant substantial entitlements <br />over and above today's problems. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner felt that all of these items needed to be <br />considered further. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico agreed with the previous comments. <br /> <br />12/15/92 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
