CITY MANAGER REPORT <br /> <br /> Item 15a <br /> Petition from Vintaqe Hills Homeowners Reqardinq a Clty-owne~ <br /> Parcel (SR92:387) <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler to continue this item to the <br /> following meeting because of the lateness of the hour. He did not <br /> believe that it was appropriate to begin another public hearing at <br /> 12:05 a.m. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> Patricia Bacon, 3655 Sirah Court, explained how she learned <br /> about the proposal to construct seven to nine townhouses on a City- <br /> owned half acre site on the corner of Concord and Palomino. She <br /> stated that she and her neighbors were opposed to the idea. She <br /> explained that area between Bernal and Tawny is already over- <br /> developed and that this was the last vacant lot bordering a <br /> sensitive wildlife habitat. Ms. Bacon said that none of the <br /> neighbors were notified of this project. The lot was to be used as <br /> a fire station not housing. The homeowners were notified by the <br /> North Pleasanton Rotary Club of its plans to develop the lot. The <br /> neighbors circulated a petition to state the wishes of the <br /> residents. She stressed that no one was objecting to low income <br /> housing. She stated that the lot across street from this proposed <br /> lot that was originally low income and was reverted to current <br /> market rate.
