132 Nick Delbacio, a north Pleasanton resident, and Marty Philape, 3641 Dunsmuir Circle, were concerned with making sure the entire City was being represented. It was suggested that members Committee come from the public at large as well as from the Councilmember nominees. Ms. Scribner did not want to repeat the same negative situation which occurred with the Ridgelands Committee. She suggested that the entire Council interview candidates. Mayor Tarver, Mr. Pico and Ms. Dennis were prepared to appoint their choices for members. There was general discussion byCouncil regarding the process for appointments. It was agreed by the City Council to readvertise for four "at large" positions. All of the nominees are to be considered at a later date with consideration being given to appointments to achieve a geographical balance where possible. It was moved by Mayor Tarver, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, that Council hold its appointments to the Steering Committee (Mayor - 3 persons, Council -2 persons each) and readvertise for four at-large positions. Tentatively, appointments will be made at the May 4, 1993 Regular City Council meeting. The roll call vote was as followS: AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Item 6c Continued Discussion Of General Plan (SR93:135) Ms. Scribner requested that whoever is selected for this Committee receives training about the General Plan and about conflict resolution. This item was continued until after the appointments of the Steering Committee are made.
