Mr. Pico asked if the $35,000 from the coordination of the unit sales is money that would be paid by the City. Mr. Bocian explained that the money would be an appropriation of City funds. A mechanism may be established so that the $5,000 per unit is repaid to the City at the time of sale. Mayor Tarver requested 1) to delete "moderate" terminology from the agreement, 2) to include that preferential criteria is already established, and 3) that Rotary should provide accounting of any "savings" and its subsequent use of funds. It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Mr. Pico, that Resolution No. 93-26 be adopted, approving the Purchase and Sale Agreement for the sale of the 0.56 acre City-owned parcel of land at Concord Street and Palomino Drive tothe Pleasanton RotaryNorth for a sales price of $1.00; approving the Restrictive Covenant, Resale Restrictions and Option to Designate Eligible Purchasers; approving the Option to Purchase Agreement with Pleasanton Rotary all of said documents to be to be in a final form as approved by the City Attorney; and appropriating $320,509 from the City's Lower Income Housing Fund. Steve Cusenza explained the City's pumping ground water pumping has an effect it has on some of the rates. DSRSD relies entirely on Zone 7's water.
