73 <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver indicated the information he has been receiving <br />indicated the general public does not like what is being done <br />downtown regarding street trees and bulb-outs. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico agreed that he wanted public input. He did not want <br />to delay the project, but did want to make changes to the bulb-outs <br />and tree pop-outs. He did not want to remake downtown Pleasanton <br />so it looks like downtown Fairfield. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver indicated there were three on the Council in favor <br />of a bid addendum and directed staff to do so. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, seconded by Mr. Pico, that the <br />main tile piece be put in Civic Park and the location of the <br />vignettes to be determined later. <br />The vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Mohr, Pico, and Scribner <br />NOES: Mayor Tarver <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> There was discussion regarding the type of paver to be used <br />for the "buy-a-brick" plan. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to use the <br />same material as used in the corners in the secondary walkway and <br />that the Convention and Visitors Bureau will have some type of fund <br />raising plan to sell bricks, to be located first in front of the <br />museum and second at Wayside Park and/or Civic Park. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner indicated the decision would be to approve the <br />placement of the bricks, but not necessarily approving the <br />operation of the program. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr indicated the operation of the program is not the <br />concern of Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico suggested this item not be acted upon until later. <br /> Ms. Scribner withdrew her motion. <br /> <br /> There was discussion about whether the test of a four-way stop <br />at Rose Avenue and Neal Street would include the bulb-out <br />configuration to see how it would affect turns. <br /> <br />01/19/93 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
