She then asked if Council would consider writing the national sentice clubs in the City <br /> asking for cooperation and interest they might have. Pico requested that the ratification of LAVTA action be placed on the next City <br /> Council agenda for further discussion. <br /> <br /> There was some discussion regarding MTC's priorities regarding the northwest BART <br /> station, Altamont Rail and the Livenore extension. <br /> <br /> F-¢sidenfial Picketing <br /> <br />- Mayor Tarver requested that action on the residential picketing issue be delayed until San <br /> Jose's issue is resolved. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr felt that action should be taken before picketing becomes a large problem. <br /> She stated that it was not fair to the neighbors of those whose homes are being picketed. Ms. <br /> Mohr was very concerned with the safety of the neighborhoods. <br /> <br /> Bill Eastman, Police Chid, indicated that picketing has been on-going at the hospitals and <br /> in a few neighborhoods. <br /> <br /> Council asked that the Police Chief make certain that there is proper police coverage <br /> during demostration situations. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr to add this issue to September l, 1993 Special City Council <br /> meeting for further discussion. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> Qwwth Management <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet requested that the proposed revision to the Growth Management Program <br />-- be placed on the agenda for September 1, 1993. <br /> <br /> 08/17/93 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
