She suggested having CMA give a presentation to the City as well as <br /> the City m_aidng a presentation to CMA pointing out precisely how it can help the City. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr believed that CMA should include areas that grea~y effect the tri-valley area. <br /> <br /> Mr. van Gelder stated that he hoped to do so and will be inviting San Joaquin County <br /> in the discussions. Perhaps a MTC member would be representing San Joaquin. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr asked that all of the Councilmembers are notified if CMA presents the work <br /> program to the Tri-Valley Transportation Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet agreed with staff recommendations and encouraged joint studies. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico stated that it was clear that the Tri-Valley Transportation Council and Alameda <br /> County and City of Dublin do not see the purpose of the TVTC as doing any land use planning <br /> whatsoever. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, directing staff to: 1) request <br /> the CMA to present the work program to the Tri-Valley Transportation Council as a review of <br /> how such a program would help in the adoption and implementation of a Tri-Valley <br /> Transportation Plan; 2) ensure the incorporation of Caltrans and public transportation providers <br /> in any transportation related parmership as Caltrans facilities represent over 80% of the CMA <br /> regional trips; 3) request the CMA to adopt policies facilitating communications between sub- <br /> area and local governments; and 4) encourage the CMA, <br /> <br /> 07/06/93 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
