Mr. Pico restated his motion to include an amendment to the boundary adjustments in Item 9 to include the suggested wording from the mayor: * as amended by paragraph 7 or should Hayward not detach the property to allow Pleasanton to review building applications;~ and delete second paragraph under Section II of the draft pl~asanton Ridgelands Area Plan; to modify the boundaries to include the area in the comer; all with the understanding that Pleasanton is bound by the requirements of Measure M. The vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers- Mohr, Pico, Scribner, and Mayor Tarvet NOES: Councilmember Dennis ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None It was moved by Mr. Pico, seconded by Ms. Scribner, to direct staff to put the agreement into proposed form and direct the General Plan Review Steering Committee and the Planning Commission to review and comment upon the agreement and to make recommendations as to the timing of a proposed ballot measure to comply with Measure M requirements. The vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers- Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None It was moved by Mayor Tarver, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to request the General Plan Review Steering Committee and staff to bring back recommendations to Council prior to July 30, 1993. The vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Pie, o, and Mayor Tarvet NOES: Councilmembers - Mohr and Scribner ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Mr. Pico clarified that it was his intent that the Committee and Planning Commission should set the timing. If they feel there is not enough time to give a thorough review, they should be able to postpone the ballot measure. Mr. Tarvet was concerned that no comments will be forthcoming in time to put the measure on the November ballot.
