REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />Update of State Budget (IR93:54) <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta understood that the Governor's new proposal would result in the City losing <br />between $1.6 and $4 million. Staff will continue to follow up and update Council on any <br />changes. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet suggested he write a letter opposing Assembly Bill 1313. Council asked <br />that staff respond to this Bill and report to Council at a later date. <br /> <br />Item 6b <br />Information Report on the City's Plan Check Procedures (SR93:226) <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis commented that the system as a whole is working well. She asked if a new <br />procedure could be developed whereby staff would look at certain plans more closely because <br />there has been a problem with an applicant in the past. (i.e. fee process). <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift described the reviewing process that staff uses. <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Approval of Cooperative Agreement with Alameda County to Participate in the Alameda <br />County HOME Consortium for the Purpose of Receiving Federal HOME Funds for <br />Affordable Housing Development (SR93:215) <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> There was a brief discussion on the financing and how it will be applied to other cities. <br /> <br />06/01/93 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
