108 6. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Item 6a 1992-93 Financial Report Susan Rossi~ Director of Finance, presented the Financial Report. Ms. Mohr commented that this report was extremely comprehensive. Mayor Tarver agreed that this report was very well done. He then referred to last year's budget compared to the 1993 budget and expressed his concern with not having a status- quo budget. He wanted to be sure revenue meets expenditures without having to use reserves. Ms. Acosta explained why the two years were different and that the intent was not to continue this long term. Mr. Pico asked for clarification of the shift of the net income between the two years. In response to Mr. Pieo's concern, Ms. Rossi clarified the shift of the net income between the two years. Ms. Acosta stated that the City of Pleasanton is in good financial health considering all that has happened state-wide and compared to other cities. She spoke about the sales and property taxes and indicated that the City is cutting back in its expenditures. It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, commending City staff for the excellent job that it had done in 1992-93 Fiscal Year to contain costs and to operate under difficult circumstances. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that Resolution No. 93-141, be adopted, approving the 1992-93 Financial Report and authorizing budget adjustments set forth in the staff report.
