The suggestion <br /> to use the Union Pacific track is not feasible because Union Pacific will not allow a nonrelated <br /> activity on its corridor. Also the main point of the project is to restore an historic section of <br /> rail. <br /> <br /> There was discussion about the necessary steps that must be taken and the timing <br /> required; a great deal depends on when the County completes its study. It was determined that <br /> staff should correspond with Alameda County regarding its study and a public hearing be held <br /> to resolve any remaining concerns. Ms. Mohr stressed that residents of Ridge View Commons <br /> be given notice of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Wilsorl PoWell <br /> <br /> Wilson Powell complained about the Pleasanton Police Department and wanted Council <br /> to respond to his prior questions. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver indicated the jury had decided the matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Beougher pointed out this was not on the agenda and Council cannot or act on the <br /> item. He also indicated there is still a possibility of appeal and the litigation is therefore not <br /> concluded. <br /> <br /> Pedestrian Safety_ Award <br /> <br /> Dan Downey, District Manager of the California State Automobile Association, presented <br /> the award for pedestrian safety to the City of Pleasanton.
