11 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 7, 1993 <br /> <br />APPEALS BOARD <br /> <br /> The Appeals Board was convened at 6:53 p.m. Gary Smith, Director of Building <br />Inspection, presented the report regarding the appeal of Mr. Hempy. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hempy presented photographs and described the area surrounding the pool. He <br />pointed out the pool is 100 feet from the house and due to the topography which includes a <br />creekbed between the house and the pool, he believed the existing fence provided adequate <br />security for the pool. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that the matter be continued <br />to determine if the applicant could provide fencing to meet staffs concern; if so, the item need <br />not be returned to the Board; if staffs concerns can not be met, then the matter is to be returned <br />to the Board for decision. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />09/07/93 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
