PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> Item 14a <br /> Adjustment to Refuse Collection Fees and Resolution Concern|hi Imulementation of <br /> Measure D Prom (SR93:371) <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> In response to Council's questions, Mr. Bocian explained that the consultant has <br />completed two tasks for the overall evaluation of the operation of this company. The final report <br />should be complete in October 1993. The consultant will be reporting on the potential <br />implementation of the 60 gallon receptacle service as well. <br /> <br /> Martin Inderbitzen, 5000 Hopyard Road, represented Pleasanton Garbage Service. He <br />indicated that the Pleasanton Garbage Service's management staff has reviewed the staff report <br />and were in agreement with the staff recommendations. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner and Ms. Mohr believed that the operation audit is a separate issue from the <br />rate issue. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr pointed out that the picking station has achieved remarkable refuse diversion. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that Resolution No. 93-114, <br />be adopted, approving an amendment to the refuse collection fee, rescinding the fee schedules <br />set forth in Resolution 92-164, and establishing a revised fixed and uniform refuse collection <br />rates for the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarvet <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that Resolution No. 93-115, <br />be adopted, a resolution to implement Measure D - the Alameda County Waste Reduction and <br />Recycling Initiative-programs to the extent that Pleasanton has not already implemented such <br />programs. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pie, o, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />09/07/93 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
