She had many good things to say about Pleasanton, but Pleasanton also has problems. She refuted comments by Jan Batcheller, a former president of the Chamber of Commerce. She also expressed her concern for Mr. Nelson' s situation. Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, appreciated the comments made regarding Portuguese Immigration Week, but felt other ethnic groups should also be recognized as well. He also asked Council to appeal the Planning Commissions decision regarding Z-99-25, approving the applicant's request to modify the window treatments. He felt the applicant should put up a bond that would ensure that the project would be completed in a timely fashion. Ms. Michelotti asked the procedure for appealing the Planning Commission' s decision. Ms. Acosta said Council needed to indicate whether it wanted to appeal the decision. Mr. Pico said the Council had taken no action on the consent item. Ms. Acosta said that is correct, therefore Council would need to reconsider its prior decision not to appeal the decision.
