Environmental Impact Report cannot be certified in its present fashion, then they should <br />make that decision and list what needs to be done to correct the report or request a <br />supplemental report be prepared. He felt the Planning Commission has done what it was <br />supposed to do and is ready to make a recommendation. When San Francisco asked the <br />Commission to continue the item, the Planning Commission asked the Council what to <br />do. He said the Planning Commission should make its recommendations, bring it to the <br />Council and the Council should make its decision. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if the Mayor felt the August 6 deadline could be met in <br />order to put this on the November ballot. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver felt the timeline could be met. He said substantial changes are not <br />going to be made to the plan that is being proposed. But if the Planning Commission is <br />not prepared to take action, itshould not take action. If it needs more information, it <br />shotrid direct staff to get it more information. It should do whatever it needs to do in <br />order to make a recommendation to the Council. Then the Council can move forward <br />and decide which ballot this issue should be placed on. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala thanked the Planning Commission for its hard work. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis felt changes could be made to the project during the public hearing <br />process. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded Ms. Ayala, directing the Planning <br />Commission to take the time needed to adequately address the project and forward <br />a recommendation concerning every aspect of the project to the City Council. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Pico. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked when a decision would be made regarding the purchase of <br />the property. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said that issue will be brought before Council at a later date. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 22 07\06\99 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
