MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 1, 1999 <br /> <br /> 6:30 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conferred with property negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding 157 Main Street. <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Shaeffer, et. al. v. City of <br /> Pleasanton.) <br /> Conferred with Deborah Acosta, Real Property Negotiator, regarding potential purchase of <br /> the San Francisco Bernal Avenue Property. <br /> <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />-- Ms. Ayala invited everyone to attend the "First Wednesday downtown activities on June <br /> 2 and reminded everyone that the "Concerts in the Park" have begun, which are held every <br /> Friday night at the Wayside Park. On a more serious note, she asked everyone to remember the <br /> families of Matthew Aguirre and Brian Edmonson, two Pleasanton boys that were killed in a car <br /> accident on Stanley Boulevard on Saturday night. <br /> <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br /> present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben <br /> Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br /> Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall Lum, <br /> Public Works Director; and Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner. <br /> <br /> 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO) will not be presenting an <br /> award, just information; and the presentation by PG&E has been moved to a City Council meeting <br /> in July.
