MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL June 1, 1999 6:30 CLOSED SESSION Conferred with property negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding 157 Main Street. Conferred with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Shaeffer, et. al. v. City of Pleasanton.) Conferred with Deborah Acosta, Real Property Negotiator, regarding potential purchase of the San Francisco Bernal Avenue Property. 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. -- Ms. Ayala invited everyone to attend the "First Wednesday downtown activities on June 2 and reminded everyone that the "Concerts in the Park" have begun, which are held every Friday night at the Wayside Park. On a more serious note, she asked everyone to remember the families of Matthew Aguirre and Brian Edmonson, two Pleasanton boys that were killed in a car accident on Stanley Boulevard on Saturday night. 2. ROLL CALL City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall Lum, Public Works Director; and Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner. 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Ms. Acosta indicated East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO) will not be presenting an award, just information; and the presentation by PG&E has been moved to a City Council meeting in July.
