Authorize the City Manager to execute a two year agreement with the <br /> Livermore/Pleasanton Umpires' Association. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti recognized the Amador Valley High School Percussion Ensemble for its <br />great achievements and commended the efforts of the teachers, mentors and young musicians. <br /> <br /> Dennis Aguilina, Musice Director at Amador High School, thanked the City Council for <br />recognizing the Percussion Ensemble. He explained the effort put forth by the members. He <br />indicated the Percussion Ensemble would be performing next Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at 7:00 <br />p.m. at the Amador Valley High School. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Daniel West, Chairman Fair Parade, 2359 Greenberry Court, wanted to clarify that the <br />Exchange Club is willing to put together a parade before the Fair opens. The Fair Board <br />contacted the Exchange Club and said it would not fund the parade this year because of losing <br />money during last year's parade. Without funding from the Fair Board, the Exchange Club is <br />unable to put together a parade. He explained that the money from the Fair Board is one of the <br />biggest fundraisers for the Exchange Club. Mr. Picketing, the Fair General Manager, has <br />offered $2000 to the Club to help maintain its funding for the year. The Exchange Club is <br />willing to put together a parade if it can get funding from another source.
