MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Daniel West, Chairman Fair Parade, 2359 Greenberry Court, wanted to clarify that the
Exchange Club is willing to put together a parade before the Fair opens. The Fair Board
contacted the Exchange Club and said it would not fund the parade this year because of losing
money during last year's parade. Without funding from the Fair Board, the Exchange Club is
unable to put together a parade. He explained that the money from the Fair Board is one of the
biggest fundraisers for the Exchange Club. Mr. Picketing, the Fair General Manager, has
offered $2000 to the Club to help maintain its funding for the year. The Exchange Club is
willing to put together a parade if it can get funding from another source. He was unaware that
the City was willing to sponsor the parade.

Pleasanton City Council 4 05/04/99
Minutes
