Mayor Tarver asked for public testimony.

Brian Arkin, 3740 Newton Way, asked why the School District could not acquire the land
for a third high school at the present moment. He felt once the City is built out, it would be too
hard or to expensive to acquire land.

Ms. Ayala indicated that any questions could be submitted to her. She thanked
community for all the input.

Mr. Pico commented that the information and analysis gathered regarding the Del Prado
site was ignored when the scope of work was being done. He hoped things have changed.

Item 6e
PUD-98-08, Passport Domes
Application for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval of an
approximately 64-acre lot into six new single-family residential lots, one lot for the existira,
residence, and one open space lot, located at 11115 Dublin Canyon Road. The property is
prezoned PUI) (Planned Unit Development) LI)R/RDR/PBS (Low-Density Residential/Rural
Density_ Residential/PublicBealth and Safety) District. (SR99:76)

Also consider the Negative Declaration prepared for the project.

This item was continued to the May 18, 1999, City Council meeting.

7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL

Mr. Pico indicated that the questions and concerns brought up at the last Council meeting
regarding the dual or single pipeline in Pleasanton would be on the next LAVWMA Board
agenda.

Mayor Tarver was surprised by comments made at the last LAVWMA Board meeting by
Mayor Brown that as long as the old pipeline was taken out of service, concerns about the design
and a larger pipeline would be mitigated. He wants a double pipeline for redundancy, etc. He
felt some of the operations issues would be improved with two pipes. He would like to keep the
project close to what was designed and approve& He agreed that the concerns and questions
needed to be answered.

Ms. Ayala said Mayor Brown was more concerned about the process at the LAVWMA
meeting than the issue itself. Mayor Brown asked for the logic behind the single pipeline to be
outlined.

Pleasanton City Council 16 05/04/99
Minutes
