THE WEAV1NG <br /> <br />The valley is a tapestry <br />of varied textures and hues <br />woven by many hands <br />it has patterns <br />sharp ..... delineated <br />toward home and family <br />education and leisure <br /> <br />Where every tree and pole <br />flutters bright red ribbons <br />that Dare To Say No <br />Businesses give freely of <br />their time and space in <br />support of arts as well as sports <br /> <br />Where poets gather in <br />Coffee Beans and Things <br />to read from notebooks <br />ragged with handling <br /> <br />Where banks display roses <br />and art becomes a pavilion of color <br />lines are written .... memorized <br />rehearsed then performed <br />to standing ovations <br /> <br />Artwork unveiled <br />becomes landmarks <br />that measure time <br />with flowing lines <br /> <br />This is our valley ..... our town <br />our tapestry that will one day <br />be given over to our youth <br />to continue !ife's weaving <br /> <br /> <br />
