Ms. Michelotti asked if this issue could be discussed under Item 7, Matters Initiated by
Council.

2. ROLL CALL

City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers
present were Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff
members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attomey; Brian W.
Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public
Works; Sue Rossi, Finance Director; and Bill van Gelder, Traffic Engineer.

Councilmember Ayala was absent and excused.

3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS

Ms. Acosta said Item 6c, Sewer Rates - 1999, was continued indefinitely, and Item 6g, AP-
98-19 ( UP-98-76/Z-98-311 and Z-98-310, Jack Chestnut), and Item 6h, City's vacant property in
the 4100 block of Stanley Boulevard, have been moved to the April 6, 1999 Council meeting.

4. CONSENT CALENDAR

-- It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following actions be
taken on the Consent Calendar:

a. Approval of City Council Minutes for March 2, 1999.

Pat Nelson, 8080 Bethel Lane, submitted a letter and comments that she would like attached
to the minutes of March 2. She understood that it is hard to condense what someone has said at the
meetings, but the minutes for March 2 do not accurately state what her husband said. She would
like them corrected.

Mayor Tarver did not want to take a lot of staff time to continually revise the minutes and
asked if she would be satisfied with receiving a tape of the meetings in their entirety so she could
keep it for her records.

Ms. Nelson indicated she had tapes of all of the meetings, but was concerned with the
accuracy of the minutes. She would like the minutes to accurately reflect what was said at the
meeting. She would be satisfied to have the letter attached or to write a summary or have staff
write another summary.

Pleasanton City Council 2 03/16/99
Minutes
