MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> August 23, 1994 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 6:45 P.M. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Manager Deborah Acosta called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Rebecca L. Dennis, Karin Mohr, Thomas P. Pico Jr., Dorothy N. Scribner, <br />and Mayor Ben C. Tarvet. Staff members present were Deborah Acosta, City Manager. <br /> <br /> 3. Second Amendment to Roadway Improvements Agreement between Alameda County, the <br /> Surplus Property_ Authority of Alameda County, the City of Pleasanton, and the City of Dublin. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta briefly reviewed the proposed amendment to the agreement. After numerous <br />settlement discussions in the last several months, Council, on August 16, 1994, approved a <br />settlement agreement with Dublin. This amendment to the Roadway Improvement Agreement <br />was one of the exhibits which needs to be formally approved. The amendments to the Roadway <br />Improvement Agreement include reducing Dublin's total cost of the construction of the roadway <br />by $400,000, and removing Dublin's obligation to use its general fund for the repayment of the <br />debt. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver stated that Dublin has also approved the settlement agreement and has <br /> approved this Amendment to Roadway Improvement Agreement. After the County approved <br /> the Amendments, the lawsuit will be resolved. <br /> <br /> SharreH Michelotti, 7873 Olive Court, requested clarification of various aspects of the <br /> agreement. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta explained that generally the terms are the same as before. As Dublin forms <br /> assessment districts, payments will be made to Pleasanton, which will use the funds to reduce <br /> the North Pleasanton Improvement District bonds.
