Mayor Tarver presented Mr. Hirst and Ms. Batchellor with commendations for their <br />contributions to the Centennial Celebration. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> The following people presented Council with commendations for Pleasanton's 100th <br />Birthday (Centennial): Claudia MacCormick, representing Bill Lockyer, Johan Klehs and Delaine <br />Eastin; Georgine von Heater, representing Dublin-San Ramon Services District (DSRSD); and <br />Herman Whelm, Mayor of San Ramon. <br /> <br /> Barbara Bell, a Pleasanton crossing guard, asked for the status on the Service <br />Modification Report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta explained that this year's budget would be presented to Council on July 19, <br />1994. There are no changes in the budget regarding the crossing guards. There has been no <br />meeting scheduled for the service modifications at this time. She was willing to meeting with <br />Ms. Bell at a later time to discuss the details with her. <br /> <br />Item 4m <br />Rea_~e~ to Form Sister City Relationship with Scotland (SR94:232) <br /> <br /> Joan Zehnder, Chair of the Pleasanton-Blairgowrie Sister City Organization briefly <br />explained the history of her group's effort in and hope of establishing this relationship with <br />Blairgowrie, Scotland. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Resolution No. 94-76 <br />be adopted, endorsing the request to form a sister city relationship with Scotland. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarvet <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />6. MATHERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />In-Lieu Park Dedication Fees <br /> <br /> This item was continued to the July 19, 1994 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />07/05/94 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
