Ms. Scribner believed that by the candidate paying this fee, it ~nalizes the candidate's <br />commitment in running. --- <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico asked that all of this information be provided in the candidate packets. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Resolution No. 94-81 <br />be adopted, establishing certain policies for the November 8, 1994 Municipal Election; <br />authorizing the City Clerk to consolidate the municipal election with the statewide general <br />election; the Statement of Qualifications remains at 200 words; that candidates are charged for <br />printing and mailing their Statements of Qualification; the City will not send any additional <br />materials to the voters other than the sample ballot/voter pamphlet; and in the case of a fie vote, <br />the City will have a special run-off election. <br /> <br />The r011 c~l vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver reminded the public that the filing period for candidates is July 18, 1994 <br />through August 12, 1994. <br /> <br />Item 8c <br />Request for Council position to forward to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors <br />regarding San Ramon Planning Commission (SR94:234) <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver described the Commission's responsibilities. He believed that disbanding <br />this Commission did not lend itself to public process. <br /> <br /> There was generai discussion regarding the Commission and its responsibilities. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, directing staff to send a <br />letter to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors supporting the existence of San Ramon <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Th~ r011 call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />07/05/94 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
