6. MATTERS CONTINUED OF DECISION

Item 6a
Transmittal of audit of rmancial transactions

This item was continued to June 21, 1994 City Council meeting.

Item 6b
Discussion of LAVWMA position regarding sewer capacity expansion project
(SR94:202)

Ms. Acosta presented the staff report.

Mr. Roush pointed out that EBDA's offer has a deadline of November 30, 1994. This
would mean that if Livermore and Pleasanton intended on placing this matter on the ballot for
the November election, those Councils would need to take action by late July.

Ms. Mohr asked how long it would take for the City staff to analyze the proposal that
has been presented to LAVWMA.

Ms. Acosta believed preliminary information may be available to Council by its next
meeting.

Mr. Pico felt that discussions should take place as soon as possible on the drawing of
urban limit lines and the sewer capacity as it relates to the general plan. He was concerned with
the timing of placing this on the November ballot or on the following ballot.

Mayor Tarver agreed that the key issue is capacity. He felt that this matter should be
referred to the General Plan Review Committee for further consideration.

Mr. Swift stated that the report on sewer capacity should be available in one to two
weeks.

There was discussion regarding additional reports on the capacity and the wet weather
flow studies.

Ms. Acosta suggested that staff report to Council at its next meeting a timeline when a
decision will need to be made for the November election.

Council no action on this item.

06/07/94 4
