It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Mayor Tarver, appointing Mr. Pico as <br />-- the Council representative to the Altamont Inter-regional Corridor Partnership Program <br /> Committee. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Staff is to send a letter to the Metropolitan Transportation Committee regarding Mr. <br /> Pico's appointment. <br /> <br /> Item 6e <br /> ConsideratiOn Of NewSpaper Rack and Chess Table Designs for Main Street (SR94: 145) <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Gary Schwaegerle, 189 W. Angela,' suggested that there be four seats at each table rather <br /> than two. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, approving the concrete <br />- frame with color and texture matching the light colored planters; the four newspaper rack <br /> locations (Vic's All-Star Kitchen, Dean's Cafe, Bay View Federal Bank and the Pleasanton <br /> Hotel; the Dura Art Stone chess table design with four seats to be placed on the existing <br /> concrete pad in front of Museum; and direct staff to recognize the termination of the temporary <br /> sign ordinance for Main street and to work with the Downtown business groups to suggest <br /> modification to the Downtown sign ordinance. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Item 6f <br /> Letter in Support of AB 1877, Legislation Concerning <br /> <br /> In response to Council's questions, Mr. Roush clarified Section 2 of the attachment to <br /> the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if Council decided to write a letter in support of this item, could the <br /> letter reference the agreements that the State of California has entered into with other states. <br /> <br /> 05/17/94 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
