Pleasanton would take a proactive stance as advocates for current and future elders. The study <br />will be available Friday, April 8, 1994, at the Senior Center in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Gary Schwaegerle, 189 W. Angela Street, spoke in opposition to the upcoming Case <br />Avenue project. He was concerned with developing a new project when the City has a financial <br />deficit. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver apologized for his recent comments regarding the decisions made by past <br />Councils. He believed that there should be further discussion regarding the growth management <br />cap of 650-750 limit. He stated his understanding of the current and past growth management <br />programs. Mayor Tarvet indicated that Signature Properties had presented Council with a <br />proposal and asked that it be entered as part of the record. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta read a letter from Signature Properties to the City Council regarding its <br />proposal for growth management. (Please see attached). <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis thanked Signature Properties for working with the City. She also thanked <br />those citizens who shared input with her about this project before she voted to approve the PUD. <br />She believed that Council had reached a good decision. <br /> <br /> Brad Hirst, Centennial Celebration Chairperson, reported that the Centennial Celebration <br />is moving on schedule, is within budget, and all objectives are being met. He thanked City staff <br />and volunteers for contributing their time and effort towards all of the projects. Mr. Hirst then <br />listed and described each of the upcoming events. Mr. Hirst showed a sample of a cornerstone. <br /> <br /> A framed Centennial poster was presented to Steve Hunter and Lola Bagget of the <br />Convention & Visitors Bureau as a "token" of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. <br />Then Shelby Martin, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, was also presented with a framed <br />Centennial poster for the Chamber's contributions. <br /> <br />Item 7b <br />Review Of proposed Housing and Community Develonment fitCD) pro_iects to be funded <br />with federal C0mm~Init_y Development Block Grant (CDGB) funds for the next three <br />program years (1994-97) (SR94:99) <br /> <br /> Brian Swirl and Dolores Bengtson presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico asked what was the impact of the administrative allocation out of these funds <br />and is there any flexibility for the use of these funds. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift explained that Council did not need to use the HCD funds for administration <br />of the program.
