~, MATTERS CONTINUED OF DECISION

Item 6a
Report Regarding "Transportation Vision 2010 and Beyond" (SR94: 101)

Mr. Lum presented the staff report.

Mayor Tarvet commended Mr. van Gelder for his work and commitment to this process.
He agreed that the City of Pleasanton, rather than other cities, has had an impact. Mayor
Tarver was concerned with the funding of the West Dublin BART Station and 1-580/680
Interchange. He felt that CMA should be made aware that it left out the West Dublin BART
Station in Pleasanton's report.

In response to Mayor Tarver, Mr. van Geltier reiterated the intent of the list of baseline
projects and the funded and non-funded projects.

Ms. Acosta suggested that Council have a workshop to discuss the 1-580/1-680
Interchange Designs plan before the April 19, 1994 regular City Council meeting. Staff would
like to meet with each of the Councilmembers individually to work through the extensive plans.
Staff then would report to Council at its next regular meeting of April 19, 1994. Staff will talk
with CMA in attempt to move its next meeting, which is the same as Council's (April 19).

No action was required or taken by the Council on this item ....

Item 6b
lnfOrm~tion Regardln~ Governor's Pronosed 1994-95 State Budlet (IR94:18)

Ms. Rossi presented the staff report.

No action was required or taken by the Council on this item.

It,m 6c
I~gislative Status Report (SR94: 89)

Mr. Bocian presented the staff report.

Mr. Pico referred to last year's SB1250 (Boatwright) and asked if it had the same
meaning or intent as AB2673.

Mayor Tarver explained that AB2673 was the same subject with a different intent.

It was moved by Mayor Tarver, and seconded by Mr. Pico, taking the League of
California Cities position in opposing AB 2544, AB 2471, AB 122, and supporting SB 1254
(state mandates) and SB 1488 (retirement).

04/05/94 10
