Ms. Mohr was pleased to see that the bid came in signific. an~y lower than the estimate <br />given. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver recalled that this subject was discussed in the past and asked why a signal <br />was not placed at this intersection at that time. <br /> <br /> Mr. van Gelder explained that staff recommended placing a "worm diverter" at that <br />loc, ation. The objection voiced at that time was that the diverter would block north/south traffic. <br /> <br /> Angelina Summers, 4750 Sutter Gate Avenue, spoke in support of this item. She <br />explained that this is highly used thoroughfare in Pleasanton. She had witnessed accidents that <br />have occurred at this intersection. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Tarvet declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, finding that the construction <br />of the traffic signal is consistent with the intent of NPID #1 and authorize the use of the funds <br />to construct the traffic signal. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as f0110W~: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarvet <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, that Resolution No. 94-07, be <br />adopted, ordering amendments to improvements in North Pleasanton Improvement District #1, <br />to mend the assessment roll. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />01/18/94 <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
