MATI'ERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL Item 7a Annointment of ¥iee Mayor It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Mr. Pico, that Resolution No. 95-147 be adopted, appointing Sharrell Michelotti as Vice Mayor. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarvex NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr ABSTAIN: None Item 7b Review and appointment of CounCil Committee Assi_~nment$ Mayor Tarver asked to be removed from the Economic Development Advisory Committee as the alternate and have the replacement be Ms. Michelotti, which was a request of the business community. Ms. Michelotti stated that Ms. Mohr might have trouble meeting the obligations due to health problems. She recommended Ms. Dennis be the appointee, but she declined. Mayor Tarver stated that Ms. Mohr would like a reduced role since she will not run for re-election and due to health problems. He felt that Ms. Michelotti's representation and Ms. Dennis as the alternate might help ease the situation. Ms. Michelotti was disappointed she would not continue as the LAVWMA representative because she had 10 months involved with the ongoing issues. She felt the LAVWMA representative should have a two year assignment. It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, that Resolution No. 95-148, be adopted, approving Council Committee assignments as presented except Sharrell Michelotti as primary and Becky Dennis as alternate for EDAC.
