The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr
ABSTAIN: None

Mayor Tarvet asked to include City Council calendar as an item in the Consent Calendar.
He did not feel it needed to be separated. If Council needs to make comments, it can be done
then.

Ms. Michelotti stated she would like to see Matters Continued and Informational Reports
as separate items. She had no objection to moving the Calendar to Consent. She felt the
Information Reports get overlooked on the Consent Calendar, even though they can be pulled
off.

Mr. Pico commented that he did not have a problem with the revised agenda and how
it has been working. He also had no objection to the Calendar being moved.

Ms. Dennis stated that the agenda has worked well as far as what the public interest is.
She felt that if there were reports that the public might be interested in, that those should be
high-lighted and moved into Public Hearings and Other Matters. She did not believe matters
have been put on the Consent Calendar so the public would not be aware of the items. As long
as things can be pulled off Consent for discussion, she had no problem. She felt the public
believed the new agenda format served the public well.

Mayor Tarver encouraged Council to let him know if there are items that people want
to speak to so the sequence of the agenda is better for people to address their items.

Ms. Michelotti stated things still have to be moved around, but felt consideration is being
given to people on items that were continued and are at the front of the agenda. She wanted to
identify or break out Informational Reports from public hearing applications.

Mayor Tarver stated he considered everything on the agenda a public hearing. He will
ask for public comment for anything on the agenda under Public Hearings and Other Matters.

Ms. Acosta stated that most of the informational reports appear under Public Hearings
and Other Matters as opposed to the Consent Calendar.

Ms. Michelotti was referring to the report of the Planning Commission, etc. that Council
has under the Consent Calendar now. The other things are the reports that are staff reports on
a specific subject. She felt the Planning Commission Report, etc. seems to get lost.

Mr. Pico commented that Council could always ask if there is something that is on the
Consent Calendar that you want the public to be aware oL

11/14/95 -11-
