It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to approve the architectural <br />design of the Aquatic Center project. <br /> <br />The r011 ¢~1 vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotfi, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Qrdinance 1660 a_nurovin~, the application of New Cities Development Group for a maior <br />modification tO an approved PUD plan, as filed under case PUD-92-01-1M. (SR95:292) <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, that Ordinance No. 1660 <br />be adopted, approving the application of New Cities Development Group for a major <br />modification to an approved PUD plan by increasing the maximum floor area ratio on specific <br />lots by 5 % and reducing the required combined side yards on one lot from 30 feet to 20 feet. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6d <br />RZ-95-05, City of Pleasanton <br />COnSider amendments to Section 18.08 (Definitions) and Section 18.44 (Commercial <br />Districts) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to address brew pubs, microbreweries, and <br />self-brew establishments. (SR95:305) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked why a microbrewery would not be considered a conditional use like <br />bars and pubs? <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift stated a microbrewery has a different level of intensity of use than a typical <br />brew pub. It is a place where liquor is brewed with no consumption on the premises (except <br />for tastings). Sales are handled like a retail store and it is not open in the evening. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti questioned if a microbrewery/ale house combination had to go through <br />the conditional use permit process. <br /> <br />09/19/95 -6- <br /> <br /> <br />
