Mr. Van Gelder stated that the building of the barrier(s) hinges on the Council. If it
selects a fully landscaped irrigated island, where will the money come from to build it? It was
not part of the conditions on the Bonde development. He stated Council may have to look at
a capital project that could be sacrificed to do this.

Ms. Severin objected to the barrier issue being continued to the 8/15/95 meeting.

Mr. Gerald Severin, 4513 Mirador Drive, also objected to the barrier issue being
continued to the 8/15/95 meeting. He stated that the original motion stated that Mirador Drive
would be opened with the left hand turn restrictions and a barrier would be installed to prevent
left turns. He stated he would like to see a concrete curb (with or without landscaping) to fully
discourage left turns.

Mr. Roush stated if Council was not to take action on this issue tonight, he felt Shapell
could have its bond reduced to 10% so its bonding capacity would not be hung up by the
continuance.

Mayor Tarver stated that this item will be continued to the 8/22/95 meeting, and that the
only issue to be discussed would be the type of barrier to be installed.

It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to reduce Shapell's bond to 10%.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Miehelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarvet
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item 4_i
AdOption of the Tri-Valley Transnortation Plan/Action Plan for routes of regional
si_~cance and appropriation of $15.000 for combined study, (SR95:241)

This item was continued to the 8/15/95 agenda.

Item 4k
PUD-91-1-1M, I~ Reid and Jim Myers - A_npHcation for a minor modification to
PUD-91-1-1M. an approved PUD development plan of a two-stOry self storage facility to
provide a thre~-f0ot building setback alon,, the south property line of the 1.38 - acre site
located at 3722 Old Santa Rita Road, Pleasanton. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned
Unit DevelOpment) - C (Commercial) District. (IR95:45)

No action was required or taken on this item.

08/07/95 -22-
