MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 20, 1995 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Tom Pico called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis offered congratulations to Pleasanton's high school graduates, the Class of <br />1995. She stated that she graduated 30 years ago but felt the issues now are very similar. The <br />main issues then were the cold war, the arms race, the threat of nuclear war and the race to the <br />moon. Now it's terrorism, the war on poverty and the race to save the Earth. Ms. Dennis then <br />invited the graduates to ask questions of the Council. Ms. Dennis stated that the Council had <br />the highest of hopes for them and the Council looked to them to make a brighter future for <br />everyone. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Karin Mohr, and Thomas P. <br />Pico, Jr.. Absent: Mayor Ben Tarvet. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City <br />Manager; Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Randall A. Lure, Director of Public Works; Susan Rossi, Director <br />of Finance; Steve Bocian, Assistant City Manager; George Withers, Fire Chief; and Bill <br />Eastman, Police Chief. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> There were no agenda amendments. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush brought to Council's attention that on Item 4g on the Consent Calendar, staff <br />recommendation #3 is to accept all the parcels of land and easements offered for dedication on <br /> <br />06/20/95 -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
