MINUTES <br />-- OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 6, 1995 <br /> <br /> 6:30 P.M. - CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> · Conference with legal counsel regarding existing litigation: TOwn of Danville,City <br /> of Pleasanton, et al. v. Contra Costa County (Dougherty Valley) <br /> <br /> · Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation regarding the claim <br /> of Ryan Bowden <br /> <br /> Due to a lack of a quorum at this time, the matters were discussed at the end of the <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> 1 CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico talked about two people who were inspirations to him. The first, Mr. Thurman <br /> Caudill, was always in the front row of Council Chambers. He was a simple and basic person <br /> who spoke eloquently about issues. Mr. Caudill is ill and has been hospitalized. Mr. Pico <br /> hoped he'd get well soon and wanted him to know he's in his thoughts. <br /> <br /> The second person is his wife, Karen Pico. Mr. Pico said that Karen has been his <br /> biggest supporter, critic, advisor, and confidante. He felt that without her support he wouldn't <br /> be able to serve the community as a Councilmember and he wished her a happy 15th <br /> anniversary. <br /> <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers present were Becky Dennis (arrived at 7:25 p.m.), Sharrell Michelotti, Karin <br /> Mohr, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah <br /> Acosta, City Manager; Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning <br /> and Community Development; Randall A.
