MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br /> There were none. <br /> <br /> 7, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br /> Item 7a <br /> Ordinance Concernina City skateboard parks (SR 95: 103) <br /> <br /> This item was discussed earlier in the agenda. <br /> <br /> Item 7d <br /> Reconsideration of park fee credit for Ruby Hill (SR 95: 64) <br /> <br /> Dolores Bengtson presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Michael Roush presented his report regarding Council's discretion with regard to the <br /> credit. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta presented and answered the questions she has been most often asked: 1. <br /> Why is the City spending public money to improve a private park in Ruby Hill? That is not the <br /> case; the fees are paid by the homeowners to develop that park. 2. Will the City maintain this <br /> private park? The answer is no; it will be maintained by the Homeowners Association. 3. Why <br /> didn't the City demand that a park be built out there? Staff did not believe it was logical to <br /> build a park outside the gates of Ruby Hill which the City would have to maintain. Staff felt <br />_ the better choice was to have Ruby Hill pay the fee and then have Council consider whether it <br /> wanted to grant a credit. <br /> <br /> 04/04/95 -4- <br /> <br /> <br />
