Fire Services Consolidation <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico requested an item on a future agenda to further describe the fire consolidation <br />program for the public. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated staff was planning to do that when there are more details available <br />and estimated a report will be on the agenda at the second meeting in November. <br /> <br />Traffic Signal near Amador Valley High School <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico was concerned about the need for a traffic signal at Amador Valley High School <br />and asked staff if any work was being done in this regard. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta stated there is a staff committee discussing this along with many other issues <br />and a report will be coming back to Council. <br /> <br />Arroyo Weed Abatement <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico expressed concern about the weeds and other material in the arroyos with <br />winter rains coming. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated staff would investigate the situation. <br /> <br />West Las Positas Road Conditions <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti referred to a "sinkhole" in West Las Positas Boulevard near Hacienda, <br />which appeared to be getting worse and asked the street department to review the matter. <br /> <br />Case Avenue Project <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver requested a presentation at the November 5 meeting regarding the status of <br />this project. <br /> <br />Valley Avenue Truck Traffic <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico indicated he had received telephone calls from citizens concerned about the <br />gravel trucks using Valley Avenue to get to the freeway and suggested a need for more police <br />enforcement. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift believed these may be related to the New Cities development and were <br />therefore allowed; however, staff will investigation the situation. <br /> <br />8, CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> <br /> -19- <br /> 10/15/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
