Mr. Tarver felt the wording 'provide flexibility' is certainly different than saying it will be done. Any change will go through the public hearing process. The question is, if you don't want it, that is one thing; to talk about the same mount and where it will be built, it is a different matter. Whether it is compatible with the BART station is another matter. This is only saying we will consider it and be flexible. It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to accept the Steering Committee recommendation to add Program 7.2 on page H-17, which reads as follows: "Provide flexibility for the Hacienda Business Park to transfer its remaining 12 acres of High Density Residential development potential to the area adjacent to the East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station." Ms. Michelotti did not think the General Plan should include a direction to another body. It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to modify the Steering Committees recommendation concerning Policy 9 on page H-18, to read as follows: "Provide each major residential area with high quality neighborhood facilities, including a park and other amenities, and encourage the location of an elementary school." The roll Catll vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, and Mohr NOES: Councilmember Pico and Mayor Tarvet ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None LOng-Term Urban Growth Boundary_ It was moved by Mr. Tarver to modify the Steering Committee recommendation concerning Policy 11 on page H-18, to read as follows: "Maintain a permanent Urban Growth Boundary CLIGB) beyond which urban development should not be permitted."
