Mr. Tarver felt the wording 'provide flexibility' is certainly different than saying it will <br />be done. Any change will go through the public hearing process. The question is, if you don't <br />want it, that is one thing; to talk about the same mount and where it will be built, it is a <br />different matter. Whether it is compatible with the BART station is another matter. This is only <br />saying we will consider it and be flexible. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to accept the Steering <br />Committee recommendation to add Program 7.2 on page H-17, which reads as follows: <br />"Provide flexibility for the Hacienda Business Park to transfer its remaining 12 acres of <br />High Density Residential development potential to the area adjacent to the East <br />Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station." <br /> <br />Th~ rgll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Neighborhood Facilities <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver felt the suggested wording should say "encourage the School District" to <br />locate an elementary school ..." <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti did not think the General Plan should include a direction to another body. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to modify the Steering <br />Committees recommendation concerning Policy 9 on page H-18, to read as follows: <br />"Provide each major residential area with high quality neighborhood facilities, including <br />a park and other amenities, and encourage the location of an elementary school." <br /> <br />The roll Catll vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, and Mohr <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico and Mayor Tarvet <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />LOng-Term Urban Growth Boundary_ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Tarver to modify the Steering Committee recommendation <br />concerning Policy 11 on page H-18, to read as follows: "Maintain a permanent Urban <br />Growth Boundary CLIGB) beyond which urban development should not be permitted." <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second <br /> <br />07/02/96 -15- <br /> <br /> <br />
