If there is any <br />indication that the people don't want this, they will vote against it, but Mr. Tarver did not <br />believe that it would fail. <br /> <br /> Mr. Churka indicated the train is part of the heritage of downtown. The train corridor <br />has been there 128 years. He did not understand what the issue is. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked whether the Pacific Locomotive Association had received notice of the <br />hearing on the proposed ballot measure. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta did not think notice had been given. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarvet indicated he would be happy to make a motion to approve his ballot language <br />with the idea that it comes back again, we contact the PLA and we contact anybody else <br />interested in the wording to be on the ballot. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to continue the item to the <br />next council meeting. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr believed that when this train becomes a reality, there will be a new Council <br />and it will have to decide where "downtown" is. Did the voters think the train only went to <br />Bernal, or to Spring Street, or where?
