MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Jack Line, 5950 Case Avenue #110, indicated his belief that the Niles Canyon Railroad
is not interested in coming north to Pleasanton. He said it has not brought any new businesses
to Sunol and the typical riders are women with children who are not shoppers. He stated homes
should not be across from or facing a railroad track and should have a soundwall. He further
stated them is more and more foot traffic on the transportation corridor. Mr. Line felt the Niles
Canyon Railroad operation is sufficient to preserve the railroad history and traditions in the area.
He suggested the City purchase the property from the County and turn it into a park.

05/07/96 -4-
