The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarvet
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr
ABSTAIN: None

Mayor Tarvet did not like doing this (adding a portable) and hoped it would be possible
to move the civic center concept forward soon.

7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL

Mr. Pico wanted the Traffic Committee to review the possibility of adding handicap
parking spaces on lVlain Street. He also wanted the Committee to consider adding a crosswalk
at the comer of Main Street and Angela Street (from Hope Hospice to Coffee Beans & Things).

Ms. Michelotti indicated she had received complaints about the new sign that prevents
the right turn on the red light from Bemal Avenue to Case Avenue. She requested lVlr. van
Gelder to monitor this intersection. She also reported that she had met with Randy Curtoh of
the golf driving range on the fairgrounds. The lights have been redirected and are no longer
shining on Rose Avenue. A glow in the sky is apparent and the lights are bright on Valley
Avenue. Mr. Curtola seems amenable to changing hours of operation. These items will be
discussed further when the Fair Liaison Committee meets.

Ms. Dennis wanted to be sure adequate notice is given for the Recycling Board meeting
on February 8, 1996.

8.
