The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pieo, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

It was moved by Mr. Pico, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the City of Pleasanton send
a letter to strongly urge the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission either to withdraw
or to put on hold its pending application with Alameda County and that it is the intent of
the City Council to oppose with all means at its disposal any future efforts of the San
Francisco Water Department to obtain a separate development plan approval for the Bernal
Property through Alameda County.

Ms. Michelotti asked for clarification. If Council is asking San Francisco to hold off on
processing in the County, that is okay. If the motion is to proceed with litigation, that should
be discussed separately. She did not like the phrase "with all means". She would support "what
is appropriate". She basically wants to ask San Francisco to hold off processing its application
and is opposed to a County approved plan. She wanted to send the message that we ar~ still
working in a positive way.

Mr. Tarvex felt the motion was good because it communicates the significance of our
dislike for a County approved project. It is not fair to have the staff and community try to keep
up with two separate processes. He understands San Francisco's position but would Ilk= it to
at least slow the County process to give us an opportunity.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarvex
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

There was a break at 10:53 p.m. Ms. Mohr left the meeting at this time.

The meeting was reconvened at 11:05 p.m.

Item 6c(1~
Approval of consultant contract with Mundie & Associates for oreDaring an EIR for the
~an Francisco Bernal Pro_nertv S_t~ci~c Plan.
