Council then asked for clarification on the sidewalk and street widths. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked how the air conditioning units were addressed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Goldsworthy stated the air conditioning units were grouped towards the ends of units <br />and centers of the project so the units were around the side facing the parking lot or in the <br />middle between three units. He stated most seniors do not operate air conditioners and prefer <br />to open their doors to allow the breeze to flow through. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Tarvex declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver appreciated what the applicant had done in this case to try and resolve <br />issues. He wished the applicant could move the project over if there were any extra room. <br /> <br /> Ms. Micheloff supported the project and felt it is evident that there is a need for this ~ <br />of housing. The applicant has done well with the project making it affordable and she <br />appreciated the developer working with the neighbors. She would like to see if financing could <br />be created to get more affordable units. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis complimented the developer and the architect on this project. She also <br />thought that potential tenants should be notified of the train whis~e. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennl-% and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Resolution No. 96-02 <br />be adopted, approving the negative declaration. <br /> <br />The r011 Call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Micheloff, Mohr, Pie. o, and Mayor Tarvet <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Denni.% and seconded by Ms. Micheloff, that Resolution No. <br />96-03, be adopted, approving Case GPA-g5-02 to amend the General Plan Land Use <br />designation for this site from "MediHm Density Residential" to "High Density Residenthi*. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Micheloff, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarvex <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />01/02/96 -9- <br /> <br /> <br />
