MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> December 2, 1997 <br /> <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He commented that he has been <br /> serving as a Councilmember for five years. In the last five years, he has had to make numerous <br /> decisions, but the toughest decisions are when neighborhoods are fighting against each other. <br /> He read a message from a fortune cookie, "When love and skill work together, expect a <br /> masterpiece." He said he was honored to serve as a Councilmember. <br /> <br />__ 2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Rhonda Basore called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, <br /> Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br /> Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development; and Jim Batch, Police Department. <br /> <br /> 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mayor Tarver requested the agenda be rearranged as follows: <br /> <br /> Item 6c, Application of All Cities Cab Company to conduct business in Pleasanton; <br /> Item 6b, AP-97-08 (Appeal of the Planning Commission decision to approve a play <br /> structure; then <br /> Item 6a, PUD-96-10, Ponderosa Homes. <br /> <br /> Pleasanton City Council 12/02/97 <br /> Minutes 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
