There being no further testimony, the public hearing was closed. It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution No. 97-135, approving formation of the Laurel Creek Estates Geologic Hazard Abatement District and appointing the Pleasanton City Council as the Board of Directors and adopting Resolution No. 97-136, appointing the Finance Director, City Clerk, City Attorney, and Public Works Director as officers for the Laurel Creek Estates Geologic Hazard Abatement District. The r011 Call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Pico ABSTAIN: None Item 6b Approval of Conceptual Golf Course Routing and Housing Plan for the Proposed Municipal Golf Course located SOuth of the COrner Of A!isal Street and Happy Valley Road. (SR97:338) __ Roger Higdon presented the staff report. Karen Foss, Golf Committee Chair, gave an overview of the proposed Happy Valley golf course and recognized the committee members in the audience and their efforts. Michael Poellot, President of JMP Design Group, presented the golf course development plan. He showed slides of the proposed plan which consists of 18 holes, a par 72, and measures over 6,800 yards in length. Brian Costello, JMP Design Group, showed slides and described the layout for the 18-hole golf course. Dave Iremonger reported on the financial history and current financing status of the proposed golf course. Sandy Tatum, consultant for the project, said it had been a pleasure working with the Golf Course Committee and staff on this project. He believed this golf course will enhance the City and be a wonderful amenity. Roger Higdon thanked the consultants, the Committee and Karen Foss for their hard work.
