There being no further testimony, the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution <br /> No. 97-135, approving formation of the Laurel Creek Estates Geologic Hazard Abatement <br /> District and appointing the Pleasanton City Council as the Board of Directors and adopting <br /> Resolution No. 97-136, appointing the Finance Director, City Clerk, City Attorney, and <br /> Public Works Director as officers for the Laurel Creek Estates Geologic Hazard Abatement <br /> District. <br /> The r011 Call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Pico <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Item 6b <br /> Approval of Conceptual Golf Course Routing and Housing Plan for the Proposed Municipal <br /> Golf Course located SOuth of the COrner Of A!isal Street and Happy Valley Road. <br /> (SR97:338) <br /> <br />__ Roger Higdon presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Karen Foss, Golf Committee Chair, gave an overview of the proposed Happy Valley golf <br /> course and recognized the committee members in the audience and their efforts. <br /> <br /> Michael Poellot, President of JMP Design Group, presented the golf course development <br /> plan. He showed slides of the proposed plan which consists of 18 holes, a par 72, and measures <br /> over 6,800 yards in length. <br /> <br /> Brian Costello, JMP Design Group, showed slides and described the layout for the <br /> 18-hole golf course. <br /> <br /> Dave Iremonger reported on the financial history and current financing status of the <br /> proposed golf course. <br /> <br /> Sandy Tatum, consultant for the project, said it had been a pleasure working with the <br /> Golf Course Committee and staff on this project. He believed this golf course will enhance the <br /> City and be a wonderful amenity. <br /> <br /> Roger Higdon thanked the consultants, the Committee and Karen Foss for their hard <br /> work. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked for clarification on the six additional lots that would be created to <br /> <br /> Pleasanton City Council 6 11/18/97 <br /> Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
