Mr. Pico said that there may be certain eastern medical practice treatments that are not <br />being taught in conventional university systems and may not have national organizations that <br />represent them. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush said the ordinance requires 500 hours of schooling and an exam. If someone <br />does not meet the requirements, the application could be looked at on a case by case basis to <br />decide whether to issue a permit. <br /> <br /> There being no further speakers, the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Dennt% that Ordinance No. 1726, <br />be introduced, to be read by title only, and waiving further reading thereof, mending <br />Chapter 18.40, 18.44 and 18.88, to change the regulations for massage establishments. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Michelotti <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, that Ordinance No. 1727, <br />be introduced, to be read by title only, and waiving further reading thereof, repealing <br />Chapter 6.24 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code and adopting a revised Chapter 6.24 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code regulating massage services and massage establishments. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Michelotti <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6e <br />Review of vineyard Avenue Corridor Economic and Development Feasibility Analysis. <br />(SR97:302) <br /> <br /> Wayne Rasmussen presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Dena Belzer, Bay Area Economics (BAE), presented three scenarios for the Vineyard <br />Avenue Corridor.
