Item 6a <br />Pleasanton Downtown Business Improvement District Advisory_ Board Report and 1998 <br />Budget: authorization for City Manager to execute a contract with the Pleasanton <br />Downtown AssociatiOn (PDA). (SR97:242) <br /> <br /> Councilmember Pico abstained from the discussion and left the dias. <br /> <br /> David Iremonger presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> Harold Coursey, 610 Main Street, member of the Pleasanton Downtown Association <br />Advisory Board, supported the staff recommendations. He indicated the job of the Executive <br />Director has changed dramatically over the past five years. He thanked Council for its support <br />of the Downtown Association and related the various activities that have been made possible. <br /> <br /> John SiNeira, Vice President of the Pleasanton Downtown Association, was available for <br />questions. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to accept the Pleasanton <br />Downtown Business Improvement District Advisory Board Report and 1998 Budget for <br />fiscal year 1998; to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with the Pleasanton <br />Downtown Association (PDA) for the administration of the Holiday Parade and the Friday <br />Concert in the Park series; to authorize the City Manager to execute an updated Master <br />Agreement with the PDA; and to appropriate $8,550 from the General Fund to fund the <br />Holiday Parade, Friday Concerts in the Park, and the PDA assessment. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmember Pico <br /> <br />Item 4L <br />Amendment to Consultant Contract with Calthor_~ Associates for the ref'mement Of the <br />Master Plan and development Of the Design Guidelines for the San Francisco Water <br />Department Bernal Property (SR 97:252) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 08/26/97 <br />Minutes 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
